| Gare de Lyon ~ one of the most beautiful Rail stations in Europe |
So several of you have told us you're heading to Paris for a couple days before meeting up with us in Provence... And if you're taking the TGV Train (high-speed) down to Avignon, you're likely leaving out of The Paris Gare de Lyon (station)... This is a beautiful & majestic old Rail Station from mid-1800's, and can be a bit intimidating the first time you enter... (if you have an extra couple of minutes while at the Rail Station, take a moment to peek into the famous "Train Bleu" restaurant located in the rail station... while we've heard mixed reviews over the years on the taste / value ratio, there's no doubt the decor & majesty of this restaurant is over the top!)
